Welcome to our Year 4 page. Here you will find out about all of our latest news, photos, curriculum letters, trips and Assemblies.

In year 4 we have two fantastic classes, Fuchsia and Flamingo, these are our class logos that are on our front door to the classrooms.

These two classes are taken care by two amazing teachers; Mrs Warre who is the class teacher of Flamingo and she is also Achievement Leader for year 4,  Fuchsia class teacher is Miss Evans who is also Leader of Design and Technology.

We are very excited because we have chosen our own topic this half term: Robin Hood! We have already listened to the story and acted out our favourite parts and soon we will be writing a newspaper report on the daring raid on the Sheriff’s gold by outlaw Robin Hood and his band.

We have been looking at varieties of trees and marvelling at the excellent progress of our planting bed. We can already see our onions and beans growing!

We are also learning about the Ancient Greeks during our special history week and we will be making triremes (Greek boats) as well as learning about gods, democracy and the spread of the Greek empire.

Our RE topic this half term is Islam and we will be making artwork related to Ramadan and Eid for our school assembly.

This half term we are especially excited about our Robin Hood day as the children will be dressing up as characters from the stories. We look forward to seeing Robin and his band of merry men running through Sherwood forest (Arnos Park!)

This year we as a year group  have been very busy  taking part in all different kinds of fun activities here is a slideshow of the things so far.

Week commencing 12th June 2017 we have had a Greek themed week. Have a look at what we had got up to.
